EGOJacket

EGOJacket is an IoT based Wearable that criticizes our continuous need for hyperconnectivity and the possible ego generated from our virtual identities. The jacket represents a tangible data visualization by collecting users’ activity data from the social networking website Twitter and modifying the garment’s size/volume according to the selected profile.

The user selects the profile for the wearable by introducing it on an app that controls the jacket. A data visualization is displayed on the screen’s app showing the user’s relation with other people: friends, followers and following profiles.

Each one of this interactions, data visualizations and ‘EGO’ values is registered and tweeted in the Twitter profile @EGO_Jacket.

Collaboration with Patricia Martinez, Karla Velasco & Ulises García.
